haze music acoustic guitarist Kathleen Halloran

Acoustic jazz guitarist / jazz trio

Kathleen Halloran is a 23 year old Melbourne-based guitarist whose diverse array of exceptional skills make her one of Melbourne’s most in-demand, up and coming artists.

Kathleen’s musicality originates in the jazz genre, within which she presents her original compositions as the Kathleen Halloran Trio, and regularly performs with various Australian jazz ensembles and artists, including Aussie pop icon and jazz songstress Kate Ceberano.

Kathleen’s performances have landed her on stages country-wide and are often centralised in her home town Melbourne, where she has graced the historic Hamer Hall, and consistently sells out her shows at The Paris Cat Jazz Club. Her trio featured at the 2017 Melbourne Women’s International Jazz Festival, and she performed at the 2018 Brunswick Music Festival as a soloist for Wild, Fearless and Free. As a member of violinist Xani Kolac’s Spire Ensemble, Kathleen’s artistry extends to contemporary pop/folk music, and has performed with the likes of Tim Rogers, Jen Cloher and Kylie Auldist.

Kathleen’s genre-hopping doesn’t stop there, recently branching over into musical theatre as guitarist for the professional Australian productions of Bring It On, The Gathering, and Next to Normal, and has toured internationally several times, with trips to China and the Pacific Islands, performing with wildly popular stage productions and various cruise ship companies.
